Roxy Jacenko lists premium office space for sale

Public relations extraordinaire and entrepreneur, Roxy Jacenko, has listed her premium freehold office space up for sale in what was formerly the headquarters of her PR firm, Sweaty Betty.

Colliers’ James Cowan was appointed to sell 7-13 Elizabeth Street in Paddington, with the space up for auction on 12 May.

In 2023 the building was offered off-market with hopes of netting $10 million – expectations are the same today. Back then it was leased to developer Tim Gurner.

Sotheby’s International Realty now leases the space and will continue to until May 2027.

The space was acquired by Jacenko in 2014 for $2.66m. Picture: Supplied

Comprising of 290 sqm, the landholding occupies a corner site boasting three street frontages in the Paddington village precinct.

It also sits adjacent to Paddington Public School.

The building was extensively renovated by Lamond Projects and its interiors overhauled by designer Blainey North.

Colliers says it would suit a commercial headquarters, creative studio space, private client-facing occupancy or continued premium investment use.

“This is a genuinely rare opportunity to acquire a freehold asset in one of Sydney’s most tightly held and socially prominent village precincts,” Mr Cowan said.

“We expect strong interest from high-net-worth individuals, boutique developers, private investors and occupiers seeking a premium eastern suburbs foothold.”

While the space is zoned General Residential (R1) with existing use rights, the asset also offers significant redevelopment potential; conditional approval is in place for a boutique two-storey scheme comprising six high-end residential apartments (STCA).

The space would suit a variety of buyers. Picture: Supplied

Acquired by Jacenko in 2014 for $2.66 million, the space formerly played host to her PR firm, Sweaty Betty. A few years ago Jacenko and her family divested from Australia and moved to Singapore.

The purpose of this move was so her husband, Oliver Curtis, could grow Firmus, his AI startup business. However, Jacenko was back in Australia soon after, reportedly looking at snapping up more luxury real estate.

In that time she also stepped down as director of Sweaty Betty, though Jacenko reportedly announced she would open up the firm again to select clients.
