When a basic property listing just won’t cut it, try a Feature Property advertisement on realestate.com.au.
The Feature property profile appears above all Standard listings with a larger photo and interactive pictorial carousel to showcase the property’s best drawcards.
REA National Director of Sales – Residential Ben Auchettl says the ranking structure on realestate.com.au automatically boosts Feature listings ahead of Standard ads, making them easier for property hunters to see.
“If for instance you have 100 properties for sale in Ballarat and I didn’t put any search criteria and 50 were Feature listings and 50 were Standard listings, then the 50 that are Feature will show higher than the 50 Standard,” Auchettl says.
“It’s a ranking. The ranking is like playing cards. As you move higher in the search rankings, your property is exposed to a larger audience.” As you move higher in the search rankings, you are exposing the property to a bigger audience.”

Research shows that Feature ads receive 1.5 times more email inquiries than Standard listings and sell 10% quicker than a Standard ad.
Auchettl says statistics show users spend an average of 8.5 minutes on realestate.com.au.
“But in 8.5 minutes you usually only look at two or three properties, so people aren’t being exposed to everything. You will get more views if you are easier to locate and have a higher ranking. It’s like opening a funnel and that funnel is tipping more potential buyers into it.”
